I am very excited that the first version of Metaesn was released.
Metaesn is a lightweight, safe, concise and easy-to-use resource manager, helping you focus on and manage the resources or parts of resources that are what you really need, most important or essential, in order to get, understand, organize, and use resources faster and better, especially to grasp the whole picture and essence faster and better, not to be distracted by trivialities, superfluities, and unnecessary things, save time and improve productivity.
Like but far beyond the Browser built-in bookmark manager. In some aspects, beyond other types of bookmark managers and note-taking apps.

A long time ago, I was very dissatisfied with the built-in bookmark manager of the browser. It is easy to generate redundant and duplicate bookmarks and folders, lacks the ability to add more descriptions or comments to webpages, has poor cross-platform support somewhat, not very user-friendly to operate, and so on.
While many other bookmark managers addressed some of these issues, they also introduced new problems. The most significant issue is that many bookmark managers abandoned the hierarchical structure, which is unfortunate as it was already a fairly good feature. The original intention of these bookmark managers is to create a replacement, or simply to manage bookmarks.
There are also many note-taking apps that can manage bookmarks, but they always feel not so good. For example, it is not so convenient to access a web page. The bookmark manager can access it by just clicking the name of the bookmark, while the note-taking app has some redundant operations. In addition, the hierarchical structure of some note-taking apps are not so easy to use and flexible.
After a long period of exploration, thinking, creation and practice, the concept of bookmark was expanded, and combined with my own experience and actual situation, and by simulating the real world, a better, clearer, more flexible and practical data model and management approach were created. In the process of developing this data model and management method, better user interface, interaction method, operation process and other tools were also created. In order to fully save the entire data for import and export, the general format of bookmarks was also expanded and created. Finally, the first version of Metaesn was formed.
Metaesn can be regarded as a resource manager, which is not only used to manage bookmarks, but also to manage notes, diaries, articles, ideas, codes and other resources.

The concept of bookmark has been expanded to Essence, which includes not only URL and name, but also fields such as introduction and keywords, which can more accurately and richly describe the most important or essential parts of a resource.
The innovative "Resource-Instance-System data model" can better meet the actual situation, and is more flexible, practical, convenient and efficient, so that it can truly help users solve practical problems faster and better and manage various resources efficiently and effectively.

I have already implemented the main features of this system, and will continue to improve the existing features and develop more. In fact, I have thought of and listed many future features, and will gradually implement them.
